A Favourite Piece

In October of this year and, although I am not a particularly religious person, I was totally entranced by the Minster in York. For this sketch, I experimented with a conventional fountain pen and ordinary, non waterproof ink and was very happy with the result.

I was also very honoured when the first print of this sold to a lady who said she passed the Minster every day and was buying it for her very first home.

I love it when I get the story of what an artwork means to a person. Another story, was that of a lady who bought a print of The View from Knaresborough Castle because it was the scene of her first date with her future fiancé.
